The growing Ski Area around St anton and Lech

The 2013/14 season brings with it the exciting news that Lech is to be linked with neighbouring Warth-Schrocken, adding an extra 68km of runs to this already enormous ski area. The new slopes will be also covered by the vast Arlberg lift pass and will mean the ski area will become even more difficult to confine to one piste map!

The Auenfeldjet will be a 10-seater gondola and will link the slopes above Oberlech to the Warth-Schrocken pistes providing a quick and easy connection to the new area. This reliably snowy area will not only offer a host of new pisted terrain, but the off-piste opportunities for the more adventurous skier will also be enormous due to its north-westerly direction and traditionally powder-sure conditions.

It will be possible to visit the new slopes in a day trip from St Anton, or why not stay in Lech to really enjoy the extent of this new terrain. Chalet Hotel Sonneck on 5th January is just £571pp with flights from Gatwick!
