While many resorts will still be preparing their slopes for the arrival of the Christmas guests a couple of weeks later, St Anton is planning to open from 6^th December this year, with UK tour operators opening their doors from Sunday 8^th December.

While skiers are rightfully a bit nervous about booking an early season ski trip, all the signs are looking good for some great early conditions. Though there’s still no snow on the lower slopes in the town, the upper slopes at Galzig and Gampen are already boasting a sprinkling of the white stuff and it’s only the middle of October! Up of the Valluga, it’s looking very promising indeed and is just -3.7 ⁰C this afternoon.
