Electric Mountain Festival

The annual Electric Mountain Festival returns to Solden this Spring, bringing the warm zest of Ibiza to the cold slopes of one of Austria's most renowned ski resorts.

Lasting from March until the end of April, the musical extravaganza brings some of the biggest stars on the international house and electronic music scene to the resort every year.

Big names for 2012 include the undeniably catchy French DJ, David Guetta, US West Coast hip hop royalty, Snoop Dogg and Swiss house supremo, DJ Antoine, to name but a few.

The festival combines an unbeatable mix of electro-music al concepts appealing to house lovers from all over Europe with the unique blend of mountains, snow and ski slopes in Austria's winter sports capital.

Whilst there will be an abundance of musical activity throughout the whole of the Spring period, the headlining acts will take to the stage and decks to mark the end of the ski season in April in spectacular fashion.

David Guetta brings his party vibes to the big stage on the 9th April, Easter Monday, at the Rettenbach Glacier Arena. With the glacier providing a mesmerising backdrop, the truly unique light and stage show takes place at 2670 meters above sea level.

After this, one of the most influential figures on the hip hop scene, Snoop Dogg, will be making a special appearance at the Otztal Dome in Area 47 on the 13th April.
The third of the big headliners, DJ Antoine, will take on the decks at the Funzone, Giggijoch along with an eye catching light and laser show on the 21st April.

Tickets for these shows are available from the Electric Mountain Festival direct. In addition to this, there are a number of club nights hosted by top Ibiza DJs which can be attended for free throughout March and April. Notable mentions go to DJ Kid Chris at Fire and Ice on the 20th April and dance queen Tara McDonald on the 19th April at the Bierhimml club.
