From 13th-14th April 2012, the annual Snow Volleyball World Tour hits the slopes of St Anton.
The final weekend of the competition, professional volleyball players new and old will compete to be crowned the 'king of the snow' on Saturday 14th April.

Taking place at over 2000 meters above sea level, the event combines the traditionally tropical feel of the sport with full on adrenaline and mountain air.

The event is free for spectators and takes centre stage right by the Rendl Mountain Station. Offering a real festival atmosphere, the event brings a beach vibe to the popular Austrian resort, with palm trees, spa baths and cheerleaders to get the party started.

Once the champion has been crowned, the well-known Red Bull Bandwagon will offer a unique rock show at the Rendlbahn valley station.

Spectators and contestants will also be able to celebrate the culmination of the marathon event with a party at the Piccadilly Postkeller. This 'Champions Night' will feature further live music and DJ's once the 9pm awards ceremony has come to an end.

Not just for professionals, the event welcomes amateurs to take part in the wildcard competition on Friday April 13th. Entries to this competition are free and the winning team will receive an exclusive opportunity to compete at the snow volleyball main event on centre court on the Saturday with the pros.

The competition starts its tour in Schliersee, Germany from 30th-31st March before stopping off in the Salzburg district of Austria from 6th-7th April before finally reaching St Anton for what is undoubtedly going to be a weekend to remember.
