St Anton

The largest resort in its region, St Anton am Arlberg is at the centre of the huge Arlberg Ski-Circus, and is firmly established as one of Europe's top ski resorts. The ski area is incredibly vast; covering not only St. Anton's own mountains, but also the neighbouring villages of St. Christoph, Zürs and Lech and offers some of Austria's most extensive and most challenging skiing. It takes approximately half an hour to cross over to the Lech and Zurs area on the bus and is highly recommended.
The entire Arlberg area includes 82 cable cars and ski lifts, plus 260km of groomed pistes and 184km of deep-snow runs.
The cosmopolitan village centre is pedestrianised and compact, offering skiers a wide range of activities away from the piste, including ice skating, curling, bowling, tobogganing, sleigh rides, tennis, swimming and climbing.
The resort is almost as famous for its legendary après ski as it is for its ski. The excellent nightlife is bustling, lively and sophisticated, it truly has something for every taste.
On top of this, there's an abundance of sports shops, boutiques and cafes within the bustling centre, making this a great resort for any non-skiers in your group.
St Anton is also known for having some of the best snowboarding in Austria, with an abundance of natural obstacles, steep power fields and drop-offs, 'boarders are well placed for some thrilling snowboarding. The areas of Gampen, Kapall and Rendl are recommended - Rendl even has its own terrain park.
Snow cover in the resort is generally very good, in fact, the Arlberg region boasts some of the most reliable snow in Austria. This usually ensures good skiing conditions from late November to late April or early May.
