In 1946 Robert Alber completes his masters ceritificate in shoemaking and opens his first store in St Jakob, Arlberg. After marrying Fieda Seeberger in 1948, he moved into 'roller shoes' his craft into the house to St Anton am Arlberg Seeberger. 1951 saw the construction and opening of the 'Alber Shoe + Fashion' worksop and sales which is still open today. In 1969 the branch 'Tschol - Alber Sport' was opened in Galzig. 1979 the Alber family leased the 'Sports Store Hannes Schneider' and this was the introduction of the sporting goods industry in 1986.
