It’s time to hang up those ski jackets and put on something that looks like you took fashion advice from Lady GaGa. Cameras out of bags ladies and gents! Remember to take off those lens caps! The fashion disaster season is here – Spring.
Springtime weather brings every stripe of messy weekender- lads on tour, girls ski trips and uni ski holiday revellers- all out in force and out in costume.
Everything from bananas on skis, to cross dressing prop-forwards sporting ill fitting Disney princess outfits. Avengers to Justice League, Mario to Wonder Woman (not always a woman as it turns out), Rambo to Borat, monkey suits, morph suits, fruit suits, suit suits, bat suits and cat suits <sigh>.... It’s all there. It’s all skiing. It’s all funny... Especially when Pac Man stacks it in the snow park.
So whether you’re after those chairlift cheers or a selfie-in with those snow bunnies we’ve got some themes for you to try...

Modern Art

Get your surrealism on. Imagination is the limit! Personally, I think seeing a bunch of dudes dressed as an English breakfast, poker hand, Graffiti-ed toilets or as some rip off of blue man group would be pretty funny... Don’t expect anyone else to get the joke though. Worth it purely for the confused looks you and your modern artist compatriots are gonna get!

Stand apart from the crowd. Never mind the idiot ensemble you’re wearing! Everyone will know you’re refined and cultured if you dress like you’re from a book (or at least a film that was a book)... probably. Seeing your mate tempt fate dressed as Humpty Dumpty on the half pipe would definitely be worth it! Or go as Oompa Loompas on the Wonka factory ski trip.

Convince everyone there’s a rip in space time with Genghis Khan, Henry VIII and Joan of Arc enjoying a lunch time beer. Or answer the age old question of ‘why they didn’t ski in ancient Greece?’ hint: falling over in toga hurts like a mother bear. Also did you know Winston Churchill was a keen skier in his younger days? Give your mates the ‘V’ when you beat them at Chinese downhill in your great coat and homburg. Just don’t be surprised if they don’t take it the way it was intended.

Endless possibilities here! Suit up as Winnie the Pooh and give chase to your mates dressed as pots of honey. Go old school as Whacky Racers (just get the Mutley laugh down first). Elma Fudd and Bugs Bunny or Wiley Coyote and Roadrunner would make great duos. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or the Disney stalwarts, lest we forget (prop-forwards, this one’s for you!): Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, The Incredibles, Dumbo and Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb. to name a few.

Mario Kart on Skis... Enough said really. But if you STILL need convincing! Tetris blocks on skis, Streetfighter, Sonic The Hedgehog or play ski Pac man. Bring ComiCon to the mountains with this theme, or go classic board games: Argue over who gets to be the car in mountain Monopoly!
